The ideal time to visit Bylakuppe is from October to March, when the weather is cool and comfortable for sightseeing. The monsoon season transforms the region into a lush green landscape, while festival periods provide unique cultural experiences.

How to Reach

• From Mysuru: Approximately 90 km (around 2 hours by road).

• From Bengaluru: Around 230 km (5–6 hours by road).

• From Coorg (Madikeri): Approximately 35 km (about 45 minutes by car), making Bylakuppe an excellent weekend trip from Coorg.

Local Transportation

You can take auto-rickshaws, or rent a scooter or bicycle to explore the settlement. Many attractions are also located close enough to enjoy on foot.

• Remove shoes before entering prayer halls where requested.

• Maintain silence during ceremonies.

• Walk clockwise around chortens as a sign of respect.
